The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the city, as it is just outside the city walls. You can easily walk to the main city attractions, such as the temples, or take a short taxi ride for around 12RMB. the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. the bathroom is large and well, equipped, with a stall shower and separate soaking tub. the buffet breakfast offers a wide selection of dishes, including local specialties like hand, cut noodles. There are also international electric sockets in the room, which is convenient for travelers. the hotel has a beautiful lobby and public areas, including the lifts, which was most annoying.
The lack of English, speaking staff can be frustrating at times.

One of the bellboys went out of his way to help us organise our travel from Datong to Wutaishan. It saved us a great deal of time and effort.

Jindi plaza is the best money for value deal we ever had! 60 square meters of luxury for just 60 euro's! Service is friendly, only some off the staff spoke english, but thats more than you would expect in China. Try the buffet diner on the 28th floor panorama restaurant!! Best buffet i ever had, and it's not only buffet as the chef comes up with different meats and seafood on à skewer. Excellent! The Korean restaurant is also nice. If you are going to datong, try this hotel!

The rooms were comfortable and the location was convenient for sightseeing. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a good variety of food options, including both Western and Chinese cuisine.
The hotel staff barely spoke English, making communication difficult. We also had issues with room service, which often came with missing items and incorrect orders.

Amazing rooms, very well decorated, great value for money. We really appreciated the breakfast buffet with a vast choice of asian and western foods. The 24h room service choice is also good and the prices very reasonable.
The staff isn't really up to the standards of the hotel, and it can be a hassle when you try to request something from the reception or room service. The hotel also isn't in the best part of town, but taxis are easy to find and even cheaper than in Beijing.

Hotel is big, modern, a typical bussines hotel. Huge, very comfortable rooms & bathrooms. Very clean. Good breakfast, both Western and Chinese. Hotel has restaurant, gym, sauna, high standards, particularly compared with the provincial industrial and dirty town of Datong. Hotel can organize a taxi to the surrounding sights. Train reservation possible, but communication not too easy because of the limited English knowledge
The City of Datong restructures the city centre partly. The hotel is located near the centre. Accordingly is the location at the moment not really attractive. Additionally Datong itself is an industrial town with quite some pollution (air), which all together makes the general place not too positive. Very limited English knowledge in the hotel available.

Good quality rooms with clean bath rooms. Excellent staff.
The taxi-driver arranged by the hotel was quite inexperienced and far more expensive than a similar taxi-driver independently arranged.

This hotel offers exclusive luxurious amenities such as spacious rooms with a comfortable bed, a huge bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, and a good-sized closet with motion sensor light. the buffet breakfast selection is wide and of good quality, including local specialties like hand-cut noodles and strong espresso coffee.

5 star all the way. Our rooms were huge & wonderfully decorated and fitted out. Our rooms had gorgeous views of the new city walls (especially at night) and were very quiet and restfull. House staff were courteous & helpful. On our late night arrival our teenage children were hungry but at howard johnson no matter the late time, it wasnt a problem to call room service. Although the food was somewhat expensive, presentation and taste were delightful.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms were nice and comfortable, providing us with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, with the staff ensuring that everything was spotless. The hotel facilities were top-notch, offering a variety of amenities to enhance our experience. Furthermore, the location near the recently re-constructed beautiful city wall and the hanging temple made it convenient for us to explore these historic sites. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist us with any inquiries or requests. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious, offering a wide range of options to suit different tastes.

Clean Hotel with great service, staff always tried to help. Great location with an excellent view of the city from our room. Great food at the Hotels various restaurants, and good breakfast buffet. Room service was great, enjoyed a nice steak, and pasta. Well looked after during our stay...great value & we would stay there again.
If I had to be picky...only disappointment was room service breakfast, bacon fine, eggs fine, toast was nasty chinese style french toast :( and the cereal was a blend of three types and the milk was hot lol. Please Jindi Plaza...I Know this is China, but if someone orders toast, its just plain toast.
